A cardio based class with low to high impact aerobic movements taking place in the shallow end of pool. The aerobics is followed with toning of the abdominal and other muscle groups along with a final stretch. Music is provided for the tempo and the use of weights and noodles are optional.

Deep Water Program
This class takes place in the deep end of the pool with the use of an aquatic floatation belt or noodle. Cardio and extensive resistance training is constant throughout the whole body with primary and opposing muscle groups. Abdominal work and stretch are included. Anyone with a phobia may participate in shallower water. Music is also provided.
GET OFF YOUR ROCKERS!– SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM
This class consists of balance between low impact aerobics and toning specifics geared toward the mature participants who may have arthritis, hip replacements, or maybe in a physical therapy or rehabilitation situation. Also recommended for those who may be new to Aquatic Fitness. Final stretch is included. A cardio based class for seniors. This class will be mixed with Get Of Your Rockers! in the summer season.
HEALTHY HEARTS- SENIOR AEROBICS
Skipper-Lola Byram: The “ Sandra Campbell: At age 40, when her youngest son was a year old, Sandra startedteaching Aerobics and Step. Moving to Carol Nagel: It was my pleasure to become a certified Water Aerobics Instructor in February 2008 through the American Aerobic Association International and International Sports Medicine Association (AAAIISMA) program held at the Broadmoor Hotel. I have attended water fitness classes taught by various instructors since losing 138 lbs. in 2004 and having knee replacement surgery. Kathy Tannant-Riggs: Our Tuesday night leader, Kathy, comes from a dental background. Certified by ACFE-American Council on Fitness Education. She believes Aqua-Aerobics give great benefits without the joint damage caused by land exercises.
Sheila Watkins: I am a personal trainer at the Manitou Pool and wanted to tell you a little about myself. Since the summer in 1992 I have been teaching group fitness classes. I started by teaching step classes then soon thought aerobics, toning classes kickboxing and stretching. In 1995 I got my Personal Training certificate.
